the D-Line did well against the run. steinkuhler and suh were great in the first half. but what the hell happened? was it WMU's protection schemes? was it quick releases? or was it the same ol D-Line from last year not getting pressure?

i've got to give credit to WMU's QB for staying in there and making correct throws against our blitzes, and there were a lot. the D needs to get to the QB.

D-line brought pressure on more than several occasions. I think perhaps it's our back seven leaving guys open?

Im back what did i miss. I caught the scores on espn at the bar we were at but didnt get to see or hear the game. Sounds like weve got some work to do but then again we all knew that. No game is a giveaway game as michigan found out earlier today. Good playing time for everyone and one more week to work out the kinks. You better bet your aunt mildreds hidden money that bo will be chewin some butt and workin on the d hard this next week. We have these 3 games before we get really serious but from what i heard the hokies are kinds lookin sloppy so well see there. The hokies will be the 1st test, then well see how well we can stand against mizzu which from what i saw doesnt look good.

It was great to finely get the season going. Hard not to think of the old days, when we used to crush teams like a WMU for 3 quarters then bring in the backups and let the other team put up a few points.

This team looks like they have the players to rebuild the Huskers into a team that has a chance to compete for the Big-12 north each year. Offense looked good till about half time, then got a little sluggish the rest of the game. Defense seems to be up and down, but that should be expected. They will only get better, just hope it sooner than latter. Games 4 and 5 will test them big time, all though VT doesn't seem to have to much of an offense, they have better players than WMU so the defense needs to improve.

Cody seems to have found his place on this team, and Swift hes just plain good. Don't know what to expect the rest of the season, but one thing for sure, they look a lot more confident then they did last year.

If grading this game I would say for the offense a "B", a "C" for the Defense. C+ over all. IMHO

GBR!!!
