Officially Holiday Bowl vs Arizona

According to the Holiday Bowl web page, Nebraska and Arizona will meet in the Holiday Bowl. We have all been saying this all day, but just went official on the site.

Let's quit looking backwards to last night and turn our attention to the Cats. I am hoping that this is a good match up and will give the Blackshirts a chance to shine one last time this season. Possibly, our offense might be able to muster a TD or two.

 
No offense intended to Arizona, but not exactly the opponent I would've like. I do like that we're going to get some recruiting exposure in California.

i agree. i would've much rather played USC. although USC had a down year, they still have that association with success and beating them would probably look better on paper.

 
Does this mean we have to watch that horrible commercial of the whale doing tricks a million times?

This feels disappointing. Had you told me at the beginning of the season that the 'Skers would go to the Holiday Bowl, I would have felt pretty damn good about it.

But to be so close to the Big XII Championship, and then lose like they did... Why can't they just finish off a damn opponent when they've got them on the ropes?? What a let down.

Getting to 10 wins would be nice. But as Pelini has been saying all along, he's here to "win championships." For the first time this season, the team's main goal is off the table.

Not saying it won't be a close game because every game is a close game since we have NO offense at all and I don't see that changing in a month.

However, what an uninteresting opponent. Arizona? Really? Lame.
