Ohio State wants a large share of Big Ten revenues

Ohio State President Ted Carter alluded during an interview with USA TODAY that the Buckeyes could be deserving of a richer revenue distribution from the Big Ten.

So it would appear Ohio State is trying to be the Texas of the Big Ten. I'm sure Texas won't stand for that and Texas will say they deserve a larger share of SEC revenues.

The article seems a little hyperbolic at this time, but I see the point. How much longer until the Super Conference forms, and how many teams will they take. I wonder if the Ohio States/Texases/Michigans/Notre Dames have reasoned out that probably no one will play them if they form, say, a 20 team Super Conference. They may only have each other to play - if I was FBS, I would refuse to schedule them. Will the theoretical Super Conference then try to institute European style relegation - kick out teams that suck and "promote" a couple of teams from the current FBS level?

How long can rich sugar daddies provide millions a year in NIL, etc.? Particularly if a team is in the bottom of the Super Conference. Everything about modern college football seems unsustainable. Also, what happens to the other sports? If I'm an FBS school not put in the Super Conference I'd refuse to play them in any sport, not just football.
