Ohio States Sprinkle arrested, faces cocaine, rioting charges after bar brawl

If this was in the SEC, the charges would be dropped, the police, the people he hit and the police dog would be forced to say they were sorry. For internal punishment the student manager would be forced to run some stadium steps for him.

Tracy Sprinkle on Friday night includes a charge of cocaine possession and describes a wild bar brawl at the Grown & Sexy Lounge

Deadspin is all over it now: http://deadspin.com/ohio-state-lineman-tracy-sprinkle-allegedly-involved-in-1600847570

The officer requested all available units respond, and unleashed a police dog on the crowd "to assist with crowd control."
After Sprinkle was taken out of the patrol car, police found two small bags of cocaine stuffed into the backseat. According to the report, an officer had checked the seat before putting Sprinkle in there and found nothing, so Sprinkle was charged with cocaine possession.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said today that Sprinkle would be suspended indefinitely until non-conference games are complete.

I like the last quote, very nice. However, he has been dismissed from the team.

Unless he is found innocent, which I doubt happens, I don't see him back on the team next year. Maybe he can join Jamal Marcus in Akron.

For now ...

Meyer had previously suspended Sprinkle from football activities indefinitely pending the outcome of his case. Now he is completely off the team, though a team spokesman said that Sprinkle's status could be looked at again depending on the outcome of his legal issues.

Meyer followed a similar path in 2012 with linebacker Storm Klein. He was dismissed from the team that summer after facing a charge of domestic violence and assault. Klein later pleaded to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct and rejoined the team and did play that season.

Imagine going through life with the name "Tracy Sprinkle", as a guy no less. First day of school every year, teacher calls out names and thinks she is going to have a stripper in class...and its that guy.

If he's found guilty of the cocaine possession, he's off the team and out of the university. Felony charge (regardless of degree) gets you kicked out of OSU.
