Okay, let's get the Prince story straight

I don't know how many times over the past year or two that announcers on TV have commented how when the Pelinis came in, Prince was languishing and lost on the offensive side of the ball, playing RB, until the Pelinis said "Wait a minute, this guy is a corner."

On the other hand, it's been said so many times it's made me wonder if they are really just that misinformed, or if I'm the one who is stupidly missing something.

I'm pretty sure Prince wanted a shot at RB, and got a cursory one over the summer, before playing DB since his freshman year. Indeed, per Huskers.com:

2007 (Freshman)

Amukamara played for Nebraska as a true freshman, serving in a reserve role in the secondary, while also providing standout special teams play. He did not play in the first three games, but appeared in eight of the final nine games. He totaled four tackles, including two against Kansas State.

So, while the Pelini bros and Marvin Sanders get a ton of credit for working with Prince...come on now. Don't need to make up stories here for their sake.

LOL, another one of my favorites is when the announcers say he used to be a WR. I dont ever recall those moments either, just like i dont ever recall him struggling on the offense.

I remember seeing him run down somebody in the 07 KSU game from the backside corner position that he had no business catching. I wondered why this guy was not returning kicks or playing slot receiver/running back. I think defense worked out well for him, though.
