Bid Red Report:

Assessing the talent:

Mamouth sized offensive lineman with great power with his 6-6, 300 pound frame and still growing. Currently was clocked with a 5.1 in the 40 yard and 4.67 in the shuttle drill. has a vertical leap of 26 inches. Received first team All NorCal mention. He is from the Juco ranks (College of San Mateo). He flew under the radar during high school but that won't be the case this year. Once Nebraska offers him, several team will follow suit. Getting him to visit is a big step in the right direction. he finished last season with 41 pancakes and played in all 11 games.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 15% The huskers only challange right now for his services is Cincinatti. Other teams are closely watching his performance this year, such as Washington and Stanford. Oregon St seems to be in the mix as well but not as heavily as Nebraska is.

Most likely if and when he visits, the Huskers offer?
I believe that to be the case if we do not get the 5 guys on our current wish list. Those 5 are

Stephen Schilling- Sounds like he has eliminated us

Butch Lewis-visiting 10/28

Bruce Campbell- Another guy who has all but eliminated us in my opinion

Jm Barries- still some chance but very slim chance

Curtis Bailey- In his top 3 but could lose him if Miami offers

do we need to get ALL 5 or just 1 or 2 of them - with the 2 recent additions and DJ and Henry - I didnt think we were targeting that many O-Linemen

:cheers

No, we probably are targeting that many O lineman. We are not very deep at that position and alot of the players we do have are older, even some of the Juco new ones. DJ Jones might even end up playing DT at this level, so that is not set in stone. We need to get a few o lineman at least, and I am guessing we would take up to 5 or 6 if the opportunity were there.

When i mentioned the 5 guys, i was referring to our top 5 wish list besides D.J. Jones and Ricky Henry. Like stuckinchicago mentioned, D.J. Jones or Ricky Henry could end up switching to DT. Right now, our recruiting need for OL is 5 guys all together. D.J. Jones and Ricky are 2, that leaves 3 more guys left for offensive line. After the 5 mentioned, our next 5 obvious targets are this juco, Lou Eliades, Mai Nomani, J.B Walton, and Adrian Clayborn
