As someone who is taller, calling the New York "Giants" is insensitive term that offends people of taller stature.

Bengals should be offensive to people named Ben...to old timers who refer to women as gals...to women who are offended by the term gals....to tigers...and to people from India.

The really sad thing is, this actually happened. When they first moved to Denver, there was an article by some national writer that stated that it was a terrible name because "Avalanches kill people".
