Our Juco Transfers, those with 3 playing years

It’s not “two-and-out” for a number of our Juco transfers. We have a sizable group who have three years of playing time to be used in Lincoln.

To have so many may even be a bit unusual. Take a look.

1) From the ’05 class:

--Jordan Picou, OT: Redshirted this year. Has three playing years left

--Justin Tomerlin, TE/DE: Redshirted this year. Has three playing years left.

--Bryan Wilson, CB: Played this year. Has two more.

--Frantz Hardy, WR: Played this year. Has two more.

2) From the ’06 class:

--Rulon Davis, DE: Arrives in ~three weeks with three playing years to use. Scout.com 4-Star, Rivals 4-Star, #19 Juco; Ex-Marine Reserve with service in Falujah, Iraq.

--Ashlee Palmer, S: Arrives in ~three weeks with three playing years to use. Scout.com 4-Star Safety, Rivals 3-Star.

3) Also… Three years at Nebraska---the first a redshirt year.

Scott Frost did it this way---after his transfer from “Stanford Community College.”

Currently we have….

--Brock Pasteur, OL: ’05 is a redshirt year. Two playing years still to use.

--Steve Octavien, LB: ‘05 will be a medical redshirt year. Two playing years still to use.

--Jordan Adams, QB: Used ’04 as a redshirt year and then had three to play.

That “extra year” is a big bonus for those guys---and us.

Just some things to think about….

thanks Nameless. Lots of years left for these guys! Also, what happened to Pasteur? Did he come in too late to be effective for this season, or is he just not that good?

He got here to late and that's why he didn't see any playing time. He missed Spring practice (i posted a photo i took of him at the spring game in regular clothes) and then came in End of june weighing more then he was suppose to so he was a little out of shape. I think we will see him rotating on the depth chart next year. The kid has a monster lineman frame and it would be a waste to have him sit.

i agree with you guys here.....as much as i don't really care for Juco's (we are getting 9 of them this year, i think) at least these guys have 3 years to contribute....dammit we really should be a better team next year, but we got a tougher schedule, so don't be surprised if our record is not THAT MUCH better....as long as we are making progress and the team is playing a better brand of ball, i will be happy.......we shall see, should be an interesting spring coming up.....lots of unknows and questions....
