OWHWell, there’s another $90,000 all shot to hell.
That’s the check Nebraska wrote to Gardner-Webb of the Big South to come to Pinnacle Bank Arena to play men’s basketball.
It’s unclear if the $90,000 also covered the lesson this 4,900-enrollment school from Boiling Springs, North Carolina, administered during its 70-62 upset of the Huskers.
One good thing is not many people saw it. The actual attendance of 8,144 is thought to be the smallest in the four years that 15,000-seat PBA has been open. The shine is fading fast.
