Vs. Western Kentucky - six for 75 yards

Vs. Idaho - ten for 123 yards

Most of these penalties have been personal fouls or holding calls at very poor times. They have also been serious drive killers and we had at least two or three of these penalties today cause the offense to sputter and punt.

More frustrating than the turnovers today was the penalties. If those could have been shored up, we are looking at at least two or three more drives that result in points.

Couple of those penalties were atleast 10-15 yards away from the actual play.

That's down to bad coaching. No excuse for 10 penalties. Most of them weren't even near the play. Lot of stadium steps need to be run this week.

I agree with that 100%. STUPID penalties over & over.....simply has to stop.

Thenarse looks like he is going to take Asante's place of getting 1 bad 15 yrd penalty per game.

Ricky Henry seems good for 1-2 penalties a game as well but at least he's consistent. :ahhhhhhhh

While I would agree that some of the accountability falls on the staff, it has to frustrate them when the get the right play called and have a huge gain, only to have it called back with a stupid clip or hold across the filed. Some of if not the majortiy of the blame has to fall on the players, Cotton and Henry both had there numbers called way too often.

Except I'm almost positive Thenarse was carried off the field with an injured leg... :ahhhhhhhh

This is an excellent point. The penalties seem to fall around a handful of players...like the fumbles. I don't mind guys trying to make plays but it's getting ridiculous. We had so many good things happen today and they were almost equaled by negatives....
