Pete Carroll discusses upcoming game with Nebraska

Q. You said you have never been to a game there, but visited. Besides going to a game, why would somebody go to Nebraska? I'm curious why you visited?COACH CARROLL: I wouldn't think that Nebraska people would be very fond of the way you put that. There's a lot of good things in Nebraska.

I went there to visit when I was at North Carolina State, I think it was. We went out there to visit in the springtime, took a plane trip up there with a bunch of coaches, spent a couple days with their coaching staff. That was way back when.

He seems like a pretty good guy, and it could just be coachspeak, but he seems to have a healthy respect for Nebraska.

I always envisioned him being more like this guy:

Carroll is a really good guy, he lives a few miles away from where I live and his son goes to the same high school I attended. What do the Nebraska fans think of Carroll?

 
Interesting article. Not fair asking a coach to publicly evaluate this years Michigan team. I thought he avoided saying "they suck" rather well. Carroll seems like a very respectable guy.
