Photos of the Game - Northwestern

I'm a huge fan of the photography side of football coverage. I think we're blessed to have so many great photographers covering Husker sports. Here are some links to my must-visit sites for game photos (in no particular order):

The Omaha World Herald

Every week the OWH has two galleries for the game - one of game action, one of the fans. Both have great photos.

Hail Varsity

They boast BIG photos, and if you check their site, they send photographers to a TON of Husker games. Not only Football, but Volleyball, Baseball, Men's & Womens Hoops... their photojournalists cover more sports than any other news outlet I've seen.

The JournalStar

In a broadband internet age, the little photos the LJS posts are an anachronism. This isn't 2001. That doesn't stop their photographers from producing quality work, though.

When you want the original, you go to the source, right? Every Husker sport covered in photographs at your fingertips. Click the Full Screen button on the bottom of the photo viewer to see ginormous, gorgeous pics of game action.

Does anyone else have any favorite sources for game photos?

Forgot this - I got the idea for this thread from the photo below, from Ridge Barber, whose Twitter tag describes him as: UNL Grad. Digital Media Content Specialist for University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletics.

Mr. Barber took this shot of a football heading straight for his lens just before the game:

There's a vine on his twitter account of the ball flying at him after Pierson-El spikes it in the end zone during pre-game drills.
