Even though apparently Anderson and Childress have decided to go with the rotation as is (Joba, Dorn, Zach) would it not be advantageous to NU to throw Zach in the opening game and push Joba back a couple of days?? Even though Joba was awesome last week, he had not been as dominant in the past, oh about 6 starts. He was pretty inconsistent, and some think that it was due to the fact that his arm is a little tired as he is not used to pitching this much. A couple of extra days rest could help him out tremendously, and Zach is fully rested as he won’t have pitched in 2 weeks going into the CWS. Also, ASUs strength is its left handed bats, and they have fared worse against lefties than righties, according to scouting reports that I have heard.
What should they do, switch up, play the percentages and go with the rest of Zach and Joba, or do things as they have been done all year??
