While at the game, I thougth it was a very bad decision to have the majority of the Nebraska starters in the game late when the game was way out of hand. Develop the guys how are not getting PT in rotations or who are backups that do not play ever. We saw what happend last year with Sam Keller having to insert Ganz into the starting role so why not learn from that mistake and let those guys play some.

I have to agree with your assessment. With 5 minutes or so left, I was very disappointed at not seeing Witt or Lee in there or Mendoza. I thought it was in very poor taste to throw that last pass with no time left. What was the point? In the fifth game of the season, it's appauling the amount of penalties we are getting. I saw on the screen it flash across we're ranked like 109 in penalties and after Saturday's performance probably closer to #120.

The point was and should always be to score points and never give up?

 
Well if I had to guess Bo is thinking that his First and Second string are still making mistakes so they need to stay out there and learn it. Now if it had been the other way around and we where up I'm sure you would have seen it like we did in the 3rd game of the year. I doubt you will see them in again unless there are more injury's to the starters and there back ups.

 
Even if the first and second team guys are making mistakes you still at some point have to build those other guys. Say there are a few more games like this one which there will be and you do not develop these other guys in game situations than next year they have no PT in game situtions. You can not simulate game speed. Let those other guys go out there and make mistakes and maybe one or two of them will surprise you and work there way into the starting role. I also agree that the last second TD was disrectful. Play till the end but with your starters and throwing a bomb? Come on lets face it if someone did that to us in the same situation that missouri was in we would all say it was disrespectful and distasteful. Nebraska hurried to the line to get that off and honestly missouri did not care if they scored really it was over.

 
I woulda put in the second team in the fourth. Get them some reps at game speed.

But I just post shiite on the net.
