So today we played against Ross Els. At Ohio St. we play against Tim Beck. Are there any other former staff we've faced/ will face this year? Do you think that affects the players?

I don't think it probably affects players much. It probably helps those opposing coaches gameplan a little bit better because they are more familiar with our personnel.
Also: Shawn Watson is a QC assistant at Indiana, but he would have been gone from NU before any of these current players arrived.

The opposing coaches might come down to the former players to say hi, but that's about it.

I think a lifetime Lincoln guy like Els definitely had some good advice on how to play us. Not sure how much it mattered though, because it's not that hard to figure out what we do and not that hard to adjust to what they do once we know what they're up to.
People were calling Beck Ohio State's problem last year. I don't think his opinion is any better than any coaches concerning this staff and what we do now.

Craig Bohl and Mike Grant at Wyoming, Watson at Indiana, Els at Purdue... oh, and Tom Osborne at Oregon.
