Please give me your opinion:)

Before I would buy from Walmart....Try searching this web site NewEgg and see if you find anything there. I have purchased many items from newegg and they have some of the best prices around.

personally I'm not a huge fan of Dell...but they're fine for many people.

know that with that computer you won't get wireless internet capability (unless you purchase it separately) and you won't get a Blu-ray player/burner (so you'll have to purchase one later if that's something you'll end up needing).

Other than that, everything else will be fine. Know that if you want to save more money, and already have a keyboard/mouse/monitor...you can just purchased the computer itself. The 537 looks to be starting at $269 on Dell's website. If you want to replace your monitor, then you can look at purchasing it on Newegg. They have a 19" ASUS (with digital connections) for $110 while Dell wants $160 for an 18.5" with no digital connections.

If you do get that one, I suggest uninstalling the McAfee virus software (it's only 30 day trial anyway) and use something like Avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

It's free and doesn't bog your system down as much as McAfee does...and it works great.

If you can afford it, I would look into a laptop. I convinced my wife we should get one so last year during T-Day weekend we bought one on sale at Best Buy. We love it! The portability is great, it came with a dual-processor, dvd-r and a wireless router (you ever cruise on Huskerboard while taking the Browns to the Super Bowl?) It's great. Not too mention it takes up so much less space. We just bought a second one for me to use for school and we paid $350 with it. Nothing fancy but it does what I need/want it to do. Just my .02 worth :)
