Tell watson to roll out and bootleg with martinez. Give him options. I also believe this gives martinez better vision which makes it much easier on him to find receivers and if none open he's in space and can run easier also.

And our d-line needs to step up!

and our o-line way underperformed!

The only problem with that is he can't throw on the run, other than that, great idea.

The point isn't to throw the ball. The pass protection was quite good today. The point was to get TM in space to run.

 
I've actually seen him make a few good throws on the run. And just cuz you roll out or bootleg doesn't mean you can't stop, set, and deliver.

 
Anyone else love those sideline throws to our receivers today? Loved how the texas defense stuffed them at the line or for a loss. What is so hard about trying to throw the ball downfield rather than spreading them horizontally?

Watson's belief is we should make easy passes that have a possibility for decent yardage if our guys win their 1v1 with ball in hands. However, our receivers have shown they consistently can't break ankles against fast defenses and athletes that aren't fcs quality.

I'm not laying this on Taylor or Watson. If our receivers and running backs catch the ball we win this game today.
