Poor Creighton fans

My biggest issue with creighton is how fake their fanbase is. It is just a big popularity contest amongst their fans. There are a large amount of fans that just go to the games for a social event, and it seems it's not about rooting for the same team, it's about if you have more money than the fan next to you. If you want to see a good display of this go the dugout before one of their games. The salaries and arrogance levels go hand in hand.

And there are no Husker fans like this either? Your making quite a broad generalization there saying the fans are fake...

Yes I agree there are a fair share of Huskers like this as well. It just seems to be more evident and in greater quantity when it comes to Creighton. Maybe that is just what I have been exposed too, but I have heard this perspective from others as well. It just seems that for the quality of program and market that Creighton is in, you should have a large number of passionate fans. To me, I dont really get that sense of passion from Creighton fans, other than the fact that they take pride in being better than us lowly Husker fans. But the student section is awful, and the games feel much more like something where you go to drink beer and hang with friends rather than actually caring if the team wins or loses.

I was able to go to one game this season and it seemed like people were into the game. It was pretty loud. The student section was pretty loud. I guess I have never seen what you claim, but maybe you are associated with more of their fans than I am. And like I said many times before, as far as Im concerned, I take pride in the state of Nebraska. Nothing would be better than both teams making the dance and showing the nation what Nebraska is all about.
