Georgia and Missouri both lost their starting senior QB's at some point this year and will have them leave school for the draft.

Missouri's freshman backup, Maty Mauk, went 4-0 helping Missouri lock up the East, throwing for 1071 yards, 11 TDs and 2 INTs.

Georgia's junior backup, Hutson Mason, went 1-1 (win was in OT), threw for 619 yards 3 TDs and 2 INTs.

ESPN and CBS logic:

Missouri moves down 12 (CBS) or 20 (ESPN) because they lost their QB.

Georgia moves up from being unranked to 10 (CBS) and 11 (ESPN) despite losing their QB.

These lists are dumb.

I never get all the love for N. arolina either. They have them at 17 and I think they ended at 7-6. For some reason ESPN wants NC to be great at football, but they never are.

I think this says more about the lack of intelligence the voters have than the teams playing abilities.

Who said it had anything to do with team ability? This entire thread is about perception and how some teams frequently benefit from dumb journalists/voters.

So let me get this straight, ESECPN...Nebraska finishes #25 in the coaches poll...beats your preseason #11 in the bowl game, and at the very least you couldn't fit Nebraska in at #25 instead of a Florida team that went 4-8 and lost to Georgia Southern? Hell, at least Nebraska only lost to bowl teams. And didn't have a losing season. Your bias makes me sick, and that's why I hate you, Extreme Sports and Poker Network.
