Bo didn't seem impressed when this was mentioned at the post-game press conference. He responded quicker than a bolt of lightning that stats don't mean a thing and David has a lot to work on. BUT - I personally find that to be very impressive for a Juco transfer - he's obviously making quite an impact and very quickly too.

Their was some plays that David shouldve made, one was a dropped INT, another where he got absolutely blocked completely out of the play on a run up the middle, missed a couple of tackles on runs up the middle.

 
When your line is struggling like ours, LBs tend to look good because RBs are constantly making it to the second level.

 
That's true. And while the line didn't play great, and SDSU racked up some rushing yards, it's not like the defense got gashed. 3.8 ypc isn't going to wow anyone, but it's not bad either. Credit David for stepping up and making plays behind the d line.

 
My favorite response from BO.

"On what they do with the team on the off-week

"I don't want to talk about that right now. We should be pretty fresh, we had a day off today."

Sounds like he expects to work these guys after the day the took of today.

I would hate to be in Mondays practice. LOL

 
Our D played very well today. Forget that the kid got 100 yards rushing. They got less than 240 total yards and we shut them down pretty good. They couldn't get anything done.

I can see how you would be concerned. I mean, crap, he's only leading the team in tackles! If only he was a little bigger WHO KNOWS what he might accomplish!

I'm just a little worried about the O-lines in the Big 12. I can see him having trouble shedding blocks. He gets blocked completely out of plays at times.

Ahh, all right. Forgive my sarcasm; having not seen any of the games except Washington (where he barely played) I haven't seen any of that.

SDSU ran 65 plays, David had 19 tackles, a QB Hurry and 2 pass breakups. Being involved statistically in 1/3 of the plays is just crazy.
