Post-Practice Presser - April 7

— Greg Bell had a strong day for Ryan Held, but the Nebraska assistant said he wants Bell to focus on attempting to out run guys and not try to cross over players on defense with moves.

— Another thing Held wants to get across to his running backs is to “beat the little guy” — the voice inside their head telling them they’re tired. Held said he wants to be able to ride guys for eight or nine plays consecutively, but that can only happen when conditioning is improved.

— Offensive coordinator Troy Walters said Nebraska has most of its offense installed. He said now it comes down to executing what has been installed.

— Walters said it took until year two at UCF for players to really understand what they want as a staff. “This summer will be big for them to go out there on their own and practice what we put in,” Walters said.

— Walters said Nebraska has enough to compete right away. “We didn’t come here to be 6-6,” he said.

— Walters said there is no depth chart at running back right now, and that guys are being repped evenly.

I'm guessing the bold will go for all the skill guys on O.  No one play tapout.............What an awesome concept.  Probably reading into this, but sounds like the coaches are insinuating the guys are "soft" and really to get mentally stronger.

Stoltenberg still out but not on crutches today.  Still no word on what the issue is but hopefully that's a good sign.
