Post-Practice Presser - August 10

It sure seems like someone spiked Frosts Gatorade with Kool-aid today.  :)

Speaking about Nebraska's active warm-ups before a practice, Frost said, "Our guys have learned to not like the word stretch. Stretch isn't sitting on the ground and doing hurdler stretch anymore for us. Scientifically the way to get your body right is active preparation ... Really, stretch is hard here. They're tired after stretch, but it gets their bodies ready without much time. It's kind of a rite of passage, too, to be able to not just go through stretch but really dominate stretch. It's a mentality thing for us as well as getting them right physically"

So now we know why Alexander and King werent on the practice roster.  King is back in Florida taking care of a personal matter and Alexander is out for the season due to an injury.

Probably not a surprise for anyone here, we all thought he could become a breakout star last year, though obviously that didn't happen.

The most exciting thing about staff changes is seeing how certain players excel with a new approach.

Linebacker may actually be a fun position to watch this year.

When's the next practice with media access? I hope they do at least 1 per week. 10 days from now is the BTN bus tour so that'll be nice. I kinda wish one of the websites/channels would have just released the full 30 minute feed of practice.

Other than receivers last year, not many bright spots for sure.  This year we should see the "talent" we lacked last year...
