Saw some of the typical negative turds on Reddit doing their normal thing but I never had any doubt. No way they blow off the #10 RPI squad wwhen selecting regional sites.

The question is who do we draw? If you go by the current RPI rankings it would be Missouri St which, no disespect, would be an amazing draw for us.

Regardless let's celebrate! GBR!!!

Would’ve rather Ole Miss than Arky. Lots of predictions we’d draw them.

Agreed, though. ASU is a very good 3. Will love to watch that game. Interesting that they don’t play until 8 central. Here’s hoping they slug and chew up some arms on both sides.

Curious how Coach decides to line up his staff and whether he’s going to use Horn as a starter or a bulk reliever or potentially just a high leverage guy with a lead.
 
Ole Miss is just a weird streaky team this year. Have taken 2/3 against Florida, A&M, Tenn, and Kentucky. Split with Southern Miss. But in series against some of the other SEC big boys that they lost 2 of the 3, the game they won they looked dominant, they’d lose a close tight game and have one they absolutely tank. Are they motivated after laying an egg against Mizzou in the SEC tourney is the question. Of course it’s always better playing them away from Oxford(a great baseball experience btw)

ASU has probably the best hitter in college in Landon Hairston, aka Hairy Bonds. Kid is a sophomore and a STUD. Again another streaky team(didn’t play KU in league play)but there is always that mystique around that name on the uniform. Plus NU owes them one after the heartbreaker in 2005 in Omaha and the regional pounding in 2007

Yep, Sun Devils thump versus Ole Miss arms. Lincoln might be the most interesting regional of them all. Lawrence, Starkville, and Chapel Hill might have an argument. You don't want to look at the long ball comparisons between Nebraska, Arizona State, and Mississippi.
 
If I'm in Bolt's shoes I would go with Blachowicz or Katskee on Friday game 1.

I would use my best 2 starting pitchers against ASU/Ole Miss teams (Horn & Jasa).

I think NU ought to be good enough at home against SDSU without requiring them. There is no way you need them.

NU should put on a hitting show at home and even rest some of their best bullpen guys. If NU can't get past game 1 without Horn or Jasa, then what are we even doing here lol.

You will a better shot at winning this tourney by saving our 2 best pitchers for games on Sat & Sun.

It is Jasa. While I do agree with your thoughts, the old adage of “ya got to win the first one” always is in the back of my head. I would definitely avoid using Horn tomorrow

Yeah man, you prolly right. That was my other thought too (avoiding Horn tomorrow). Need 3 possibly 4 wins and the final 2 are normally the most difficult to close out.
