POWER CONFERENCES POTENTIALLY COULD HAVE THEIR OWN DIVISION!

Cut FBS to 85 or 90 teams, then don't allow games against FCS.
What good would that do? 85-90. Theres around a 120 right now. If you want significant change, you better cut a hell of a lot more bottom feeders out than that.
But each conf has bottom feeders - so that won't be eliminated. Yet, you have some consistently good teams in non-power conferences. I guess it is those teams that need to find a way to join the power conferences.

4 Main conferences of 20. 10 games and a championship, still allows for out of conference, keeps the four number for the playoff, as the conference championships would be a play off position. Big 12 becomes part of the SEC, Big and Pac. ACC takes Florida and South Carolina, Vandy from SEC. SEC gets Oklahoma, Ok State, Tech, add others to make 20. Pac Gets Texas, Baylor, Kansas. Boise State, Iowa State and Kansas State to Big. fill in bottom with Mac or others top level.

By having 20 in conference, the TV deals could pay up front to invest in the lower level schools to bring their budgets on par. Money will be no problem. Champion ship in the higher seeded/ranked team, 2nd place takes the top bowl games

Never would happen, but it would be a real playoff.

The PAC 12 ISs in a tough situation. No real hot commodities to pick up to increase their ranks. Me personally Id like to see Nevada, Hawaii, BYU and Boise State added to make it the PAC 16, BUT none of these have the draw. The only real options are Big12 teams.

I don't, it's my belief that most of Nebraska's success and the ensuing bragging from the fans come from their victories over bad teams. Further, I also believe, in recent years, when Nebraska plays a decent to above average team, they lose, often embarrassingly.
Bo is 3-1 against BCS-conference teams that ended the year with the same number of wins Nebraska did.
You listed the exact opposite of that in the "9 wins" thread I made.

Again only BCS:

vs. Teams with more wins: 2-13, -13.4 ppg

vs. Teams with same wins: 3-1, +4.3 ppg

vs. Teams with fewer wins: 34-10, +9.3 ppg

Don't know how to quote from a different post. But here's what you put up.

Only including BCS competition:

vs. 13-win teams: 0-2, -7.0 ppg

vs. 12-win teams: 0-4, -19.0 ppg

vs. 11-win teams: 2-4, -8.5 ppg

vs. 10-win teams: 2-4, -7.7 ppg

vs. 9-win teams: 1-3, -6.8 ppg

vs. 8-win teams: 8-3, +0.6 ppg

vs. 7-win teams: 8-2, +9.8 ppg

vs. 6-win teams: 4-1, +19.4 ppg

vs. everyone else: 18-2, +14.2 ppg

True, but it's when we had the wins. The only time we played a nine-win team in a year we also had nine wins was Penn St. in 2011 (W). The other times we've played nine-win teams we finished with 10 wins.

Similarly, we played 10 win VaTech in 2009 (L), 10 win Missouri in 2010 (W) and 10 win Northwestern in 2012 (W). The other three 10 win teams we've played came in years when we had 9 wins.

Stupid Wisconsin losing 5 games in 2012. Nebraska wouldn't have lost by 40 if they had a better record.

Ya know what, they mau not have. A 4 loss Wiscy in the title game really had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Had they posted a better record in regular season they may have played tighter and more cautious and only beat us by 20-30.
