Egbert knows that expectations are sky high for the two-time defending Class A champions. The Titans, ranked No. 1 nationally last season by two websites, are riding an 82-match win streak with the help of three Nebraska recruits — twin sisters Kadie and Amber Rolfzen and Kelly Hunter — who will be playing their final varsity seasons.
Ramping up that excitement is a triangular at Creighton's Sokol Arena on Sept. 26 that will consist of Papio South and two other national powerhouses — Louisville (Ky.) Assumption and Torrey Pines (Calif.).
That triangular is going to be a good one. The girls are really practicing well so far, and can't wait to see them again in action this season.
