prediction for the rest of the season and its aftermath

hi all:

this is how i see the season playing out. we will win a couple more home games, become bowl elligible (hello Shreveport!), the OWH will praise the incoming recruiting class as tops in the country (giving husker fans false hope, and callahan will still be the coach (for the next several eyars in my opinion). he may offer up some sort of human sacrafice to apease the blood thirsty big red legions. most people think it will be cosrove; however, i think it will be the O-line coach, Wagner, and we will be right back here 365 days from now complaining about the current situation and then everyone will be offering up their suggestions on how to fix the current situation. let me know if anyone else has any realistic predictions.

I actually think the wheels fall off and change will have to happen, I won't root for Huskers to lose just so this happens.

I think reality is starting to hit Callahan smack square in the face and he knows there has to be some staff changes to save his bacon. I think Cosgrove is on the way out at the very least and Callahan knows this will buy him one more year, maybe two before the angst of Husker Nation is focused squarely on him. I think he's feeling relatively safe right now since fans seem to hone in on the defense primarily. But my prediction is Cosgrove is out before the bowl game and Wyatt will become interim DC for the Bowl Game (if there's a bowl game <_< ) and then Callahan will hire someone new from outside the program.

I see Cosgrove and Elmo leaving us at the end of the season along with the offensive line coach. Cally knows he must make some changes or it's all over for him. He better bring in someone worth a damn though. Either the assistant defensive coordinator from OU or McCarney could be some possible replacements. I see us winning against OSU, but after that I don't know if we will win anymore.

As our defensive coordinator??? If he is struggling there then why in the hell would we want him?

They (Sooner fans) say Stoops was the real reason their D played so well when he was still the DC. Venables apparently isn't as good as Stoops and they're hoping he's gone soon. They would really like to see M. Stoops return to Norman as the DC and B. Stoops fire Venables.

There's been a few Sooner fans on here who've said the same thing. Not sure where those threads are though :hmmph

Okay now I gotcha. If he built a good defense at OU then lets get him in here.

honestly, i can't imagine cally making a good pick, maybe, but so far his judgement concerning anything related to football is highly suspect.

coz and elmo must go, they have no buiness beyond pop warner leagues.

IMO, Venebles will be the sacrificial lamb. Bob Stoops will bring back brother Mike if he wants the job. Why in the world would Mike Stoops come here if he could go to OU? They have what we want. He's tried rebuilding Arizona. He'll take the easy street and wind up back at OU. This might send Venebles packing our way. I'm a little uneasy about him after hearing from some of our Sooner "friends".

If we can all agree on one thing, I think we can agree that BC is unpredictable. We all think he'll get rid of Coz, but I can see him keeping everyone on the staff for next year. I haven't decided if BC is really this stupid or if he's crazy like a fox. Time will tell I guess.
