This is hard to say but very possible there defense is superior to anything I have seen from BIG 12 North and if their QB is on target they will win!

When will we get a coach who can get it done?

We've beaten Kansas St. handily the last 2 years. So they whooped up on Texas, Texas is obviously overrated. I'm not worried about KSUcks right now

 
I think all of the remaining games will be dog fights. I will not be surprised to lose a couple, but Nebraska has heart and fights and should come out on top of most of them.

 
We can win every remaining game. We can lose every remaining game. Who knows?

This week, we worry about Mizzou.

KS doubtless looks better than NU --- and they have a better chance than NU to survive the B12 North --- but they will lose some games (I would think). I would expect the Huskers from here out to go either 2 - 5 or 3 -4 and for KSU to go maybe 4 - 3.

NU has Colorado, Missouri and Kansas and Texas on the road. Given the road woes that NU has had and the trouble with the defense and with the inability to run the ball, I would be be surprised if NU won more than one of these games (so 1 -3 on the road). At home NU has Oky State, KState and an A&M --- it would be nice to get 2 of those three, but, I don't know.... 2 - 5 the rest of the way out or 3 - 4 sounds about right.

The coach is our biggest problem, we need a staff that doesn't act arrogant and think they are in the pros and show some enthusiasm. Oh yeah its a bad time to be a husker fan here in Boulder.

 
This is great. We have a dog fight on our hands in the 2nd worst conference in America behind the ACC (although I think we are better than the Big 10 and TX and OU can beat WI and OH St.)

It is not OK that because some good teams are losing that we think losing the BIG 12 North is acceptable at all.

Problems:

Road games against Mizzou, KU, TX and CU (not afraid of KU and CU but they have proven to score points and beat OU)

Positives:

The North sucks so we still have a chance. If we get beat by 10+ this weekend then our season is TOAST!

Jeez louise man . . . optimism is NOT a bad thing, you ought to try it sometime.

I don't think we have much to fear from Kansas State.They've got excellent special teams, and a very opportunistic defense. They jumped all over Colt McCoy's mistakes last game (and he made plenty of them), and if Texas would have been sharper, that game would have turned out differently.

Right now I see Texas a few rungs below us. At least we KNOW we have kinks to work out. Up to this point, they've been blissfully unaware. Kansas State just took advantage of Texas' mistakes.

Most of the time, the defense or special teams set the KState offense up on the Texas 25-35 yard line. Not hard to score 41 when you only have to move the ball a third of the field.

You can't seriously mean this. You can't. It's not possible for you to say this. Maybe they are struggling but they are not below us. If you want to go out on a limb and say we are equals I will not faint, but they ARE NOT below us. That doesn't mean we can't beat them but in order for you to have any credibility you need to clarify that statement.

True and I agree....however you need to be careful because now you are claiming the coach has something to do with the wins and losses. A lot of people on the board don't want to hear that. Well, maybe you are right. If we win they like to give the coaches praise, if we lose then it's ONLY because they got a lucky break or they had more talent.....but never our coaches fault.

I do agree...we will be KSU.
