Pro Football Focus grades our 1st 2 weeks

PFF has graded our top 3 offensive and defensive players as well as the bottom 3 from each unit.  The top are pretty good, but the bottom need some work....We basically have no TE or DE play.  Still only 2 games in.  Interesting to see how it all plays out by game 12.

I thought it was pretty odd that Hoppes was getting all the hype for the last nine months.  Perhaps it was the defense he'd been going against.  

I didn't notice Conrad so bad against Arky St but he was struggling against Oregon.

Interesting that 10 out of the 12 are OL/DL/TE.  Lots of mixed results from the skill guys.

I wonder if that's the rave on Lee as well as it relates to his work against our defense....Hopefully not.  Obviously the pro scouts see something.

The TE's appear to be a big part of this offense and the play needs to get more consistent.

I thought Hoppes had a very good first game.  Second game was pretty rough.

Not surprised to see Newby and Freedom on there. Khalil is a little shocking.

Khalil is on there mainly due to run defense. I think he's been really good at pressuring the QB.

That should hopefully tighten up in the next few weeks as he gets more experienced.

Now I'm not surprised to see Marcus Newby on that list. He's looked slow and all around lost most snaps. Seems like he's having a hard time adjusting to the new scheme

Not surprised to see Newby and Freedom on there. Khalil is a little shocking.  

Been disappointing watching Newby and Freedom.  They should do much better in our new defense but have really struggled.  Sort of surprised to see Stoltenberg in the top 3 but then when I think about it the defense has been so bad there is really no one worthy of being in a top 3 so Stolty gets it by default. :lol:
