Boston, MA -- Boston police make an arrest Sunday in a scary Halloween bomb hoax. Police said they arrested Thomas Brato, 33, of Boston for allegedly carving out a pumpkin Saturday and putting protruding wires inside.

The incident caused a scare at the family pumpkin carving festival on the Boston Common. After the man carved the pumpkin and fled, police closed off the area and detonated the pumpkin.

Police arrested Brato Sunday on Tremont Street. Police spokesman John Boyle said Brato was identified because he was wearing the same clothes he was wearing Saturday.

Brato will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court Monday. He'll be charged with possession of a hoax device.
