In 2004, Adam Ickes returned one of two botched Missouri punts for a second-quarter touchdown to give NU the lead for good.

DeJuan Groce’s 89-yard punt return sparked Nebraska to victory in 2002. And in 2000, Bobby Newcombe returned a punt 94 yards for a score.

------A botched punt is a bad snap or fumbled snap. That doesn't count as a return.

The punter that day had one of the botches as a block, but the one Ickes returned he completely wiffed on. Big swing and a big miss. It had a chance that is was going to be blocked as well. Of course Ickes could play, I mean come on the kid played 8-Man. BIG UPS to all even man football players. :horns2
