How do you have a play like this a minute into the game and then for the next 42 minutes and change just s#!t the bed, against... Purdue???

I was pretty PO’d we threw 3 times in a row after this. We refuse to ever find out if something easy works.

Same. That was infuriating.

At this point in the season the game plan should have been going for it on any 4th down with less than 10 to go between the opponents 20 and 40 yard lines. So, we should have ran it on 2nd or 3rd down there but some how we still think we can make any field goal.

Bare minimum they should have figured that out after the first miss today, but probably after the last missed FG against Illinois. If it’s not at extra point range and dead center, and it’s 4th and less than 12, we have to go for it. If it’s more than 12, punt it. I don’t care if we’re on the 30. But hell, in that case just throw it to their 5 yard line and hope for the best.
