How has spring practice gone so far for you guys?

Kenny Bell: It's going well. Obviously, spring time is a new time for a lot of guys to step up. This year, luckily, we're going into the second year of a new offense, so things are running a lot smoother than last year. Guys are up to speed, and everybody's pretty anxious to get it going.

What areas are you looking to improve upon this offseason?

KB: You can always improve in every aspect of the game. The No. 1 thing I want to improve is consistency. And I think that as a wide receiving corps, we're looking to provide consistency this year. Eliminate the drops. Run precise routes, good depths. Speed and timing is a motto of ours this year. We're looking to really spread it out and get the wide receivers involved.

When you can produce like Nebraska WR Kenny Bell, not many people are going to criticize your choice in hairstyle.
Criticize? WTH?? That may be the most AWESOME fro in college football today.

I know its only spring and they always say good thing at the beginning of the spring ball but i really like the swag we have this year i dont know but this year seems differnt. Bell is on the verge of having a monster year in 2012. just hope they do something abut those drop balls.

He said that 2005 USC would beat 1995 Nebraska?
I sometimes find it funny how little the guys on the team actually know about the team's history, the fans, etc. They're athletes, not fans, so some of them don't get why that would be a big deal to people.

Gotta love that kind of attitude. I hope these guys have an amazing season. Good for you Kenny! Just keep thinking that way. Your attitude can effect your playing results!! GBR!!

CUT HIM
LOL. '95 Nebraska would beat '05 USC by 28 points at the minimum. Just because you play college football doesn't mean your analysis is worth anything.
He did apologize after doing a bit of research and watching some film....said 95 NEB would dominate lol
I didn't realize that he had retracted those statements after doing research so that in and of itself deserves a kudos. I say that '95 Nebraska would dominate not because I'm looking through red shades; but rather an examination of the facts. Florida ran a 4 and 5 WR set and the Huskers shut that down like it was nothing. So people think that USC's WCO and more traditional i-set would be more able to move the ball and score points than Spurrier's "fun n gun?" No way.

I have maintained contact with Kenny for awhile. Hes a good dude. Really loved watching him succeed last year.

Kenny Bell is probably next to Rex Burkhead and Eric Martin on my list of favorite players and just overall good kids who give it their all. I don't know much about any of the other players on the team, but I've talked to Kenny a couple of times and he just has a good head on his shoulders--nothing's taken for granted and there is always something to improve upon; that's a great kind of attitude to have as a player and as a team.

Expecting some big things from them this year.
