His QB coach was an assistant at Oklahoma back in the day and tried to recruit Joseph for the Sooners. They've stayed in contact over the years and he was the one who tipped Joseph off the Hejny. He was playing QB at one school but "wasn't a fit" for the offense. He transferred schools but the new school had an established starter (now at Colorado State) so he played receiver last year, getting 648 receiving yards and 145 rushing yards. But he's always wanted to play QB so he's been working with that QB coach for a couple of years.
