QB Luke Del Rio to transfer from Oregon State - Looking at NU?

You have to imagine NU is one of his possible destinations. The question is should Riley go after him.

I know most will disagree, but I think it may create some animosity with the current qbs if he's brought in. The perception of favoritism can hurt a relationship and in turn the development of our current qbs. Riley will have to be very diplomatic if he does bring him in.

 
Yep, if you cant beat him out its nobodys fault but your own. Animosity should only come up if it was noticeably apparent to players he isnt the best QB but is playing anyway (e.g. Callahan and Keller) Some thought Stanton would have a leg up this year b/c of his relationship with Riley but that doesnt seem to be the case. I dont see Riley not playing the players who show out to be the best no matter his relationship with them, previous playing time/experience, age, etc.

You might want to change the topic title, seeing as you put it in the husker forum. It implies that he's transferring here. It should be in the recruiting forum, imo.

Yeah, that's the hook that got me too.

Although after re-reading it I'm not sure how you could better word the title, perhaps just being in the recruiting thread would be better.

As for Del Rio, according to OSU he walked on at Alabama, impressive.

Good job following up on this Mavric.

My wife grew up in Florida, that's her 2nd favorite team, so we'll no doubt see him play. Funny how things play out.
