Randy Gregory

Fast Jimmy

Four-Star Recruit
I just can't get enough of this guy. Watching him launch himself at the Northwestern line with such intensity and abandon is inspiring! He was usually occupying at least two of them and, in spite of not getting any actual sacks, was a valuable asset in many plays.

If he's this crazy about playing football for Nebraska, I can't help but love him!

As the leader of a defense that held NW to 0 points and nearly as few yards in the 2nd half, I guess the question must be asked: Will he be around for one more year or will he, dependent on injuries, move on to the next level after 2014?

I think I can safely say that we would all be shocked if he stuck around for another year.

He is right up with Suh in terms of ability at the collegiate level.

I think there is a good chance he comes back for another year, I think seeing Abdullah coming back and explaining why. And seeing Gregory playing the way he plays. I think he truly loves playing for Bo and company. And can see him coming back.. Maybe I'm still drinking kook-aid tho.

I think you are. Projected first draft pick. Lots of money to make. No reason to stay another year if your projected to go that high. I hope you're right though.

Would love to see him rehab that knee and come back 100 percent healthy next year. Hes great now, would be flat out scary at full strength.

He's a consensus top 10 pick on pretty much all boards. I'd be shocked to see him come back, the only reason he would if he fell for sure out of at least the top 5 and they showed him what Suh did. Difference is Suh had his coming out party in his Jr year and was dominating his Sr. RG broke through in his Soph and is dominant in his JR. He doesn't have a whole lot left to prove.

From what he has produced this season so far, I don't see any way he comes back. NFL scouts still have him as a first rounder. As long as he's a first rounder, he going pro.

I was just thinking about this Yesterday...As much as he's been getting banged up this season, would anybody be willing to gamble a first round pick on him? He seems a tad bit fragile lately....Maybe some rehab and another season would bennefit him.

Yes, plenty of teams would "gamble" a pick on him. And the nagging injuries is probably more of a reason to go than stay.

Im really starting to become concerned about his knew. It's good we have another bye week here soon before the tell-all stretch of Wiscy, Minny, and Iowa. It just seems to be nagging him more and more often. You can tell somethin still just does not feel right to him.

If he banged his knee up bad enough and has to have surgery on it after the season is over he'll come back. Why? Because his stock will obviously fall and he's first round talent and knows it!

It's pretty hard to pass up an almost guaranteed top 10 pick in the NFL. Unless he continues getting hurt and nagging injury issues kill his draft stock, I don't see him staying another year.

He won't stay, for his sake I hope he doesn't. He is banged up and another year here will ensure even more guys going at his knees and the chances of him getting paid won't be as strong. If he is sitting atop draft boards at seasons end, go randy and make us proud in the league

I would love if Randy were to come back, but we arent talking about a Suh situation where he can go from being a mid to late 1st rounder to being a top 5 pick... He is probably already a top 10 pick.

I love Randy's motor. D-line needs to work on consistency at times, but they have been the biggest strength for this team so far.
