Randy Moss was wasted...

It seems to me that even though Moss had some good years in MN he was wasted on a franchise that has never been Super Bowl quality and didn't really want to be. They then traded him to a team in chaos.

His year with the Pat's has shown what a talent he is.

I've been a Minnesota Viking's fan since I can remember, and we had a contender for one year in the last 10 years. The 1998 Vikings were Super Bowl quality (15-1) in Moss' rookie season. He finished the year with 17 TD's, most ever for a rookie.

Randall Cunningham had one of his best seasons in the league that year (34 TD's) throwing to Moss, Carter, and Reed in 14 games. Brad Johnson started the first two games (7 TD's) before a season ending injury.

Moss and Carter ended up with over 1000 yards receiving.

The offense scored 556 points in '98.

The defense allowed 296 points in '98.

12 of 15 games were won by 10 or more points.

10 Vikings went to the Pro Bowl that year.

Gary Anderson missed a game winning 38 yrd. FG after being 35 of 35 for the year cost them the NFC Championship that year.

The cancer they drafted in 1999 named Daunte' Culpepper would be the beginning of the downfall.
