Assessing the talent: Barry Sanders talent. The complete package. Low to the ground, powerful, and fast. Can catch the ball (14 rec. 219 yards 2TD’s last year) and run (over 1,700 last year). Lucky is perhaps the most versatile back off this season's crop. He is a great threat to score every time he touches the ball. Very elusive, similar to Cory Ross.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 90% The only thing that is stopping him from being a Husker is his grades. He will take no more trips and has expressed, numerous times, his desire to get out of So Cal.

Running backs There's no question that Oregon coaches have one prime running back in their sights and it's Olympia, Washington's Jonathon Stewart. He combines the power and size they had in Maurice Morris. And together with Terrell Jackson would form a relentless running attack the likes of which we haven't seen since the Fiesta Bowl winning year.

In addition to Stewart, Oregon appears to be the favorite for Jeremiah Johnson. His brother Jerome figures to be an important part of Bellotti's group in the coming years. But this Johnson might even be more special. As a junior he ran for almost 1,300 yards and 20 touchdowns. Averaging over 9 yards a carry. (LSU, USC and yes, Michigan, are all after him as well.)

This is real intresting stufff eric. appreciatte the time you put into doing this. look fwd to seeing more of your good insight throught the recruting season!!

Lucky would be a great pickup for us. He know that he is not as talented as Adrian Peterson, but it would be a huge boost for our offense to have a running back with that kind of talent.

would be very suprised if he comes here. To much depth at running back that will scare him away besides location. We don't lose a back plus we got johnson who may play iback.

I don't think depth at I-back would scare him. If he is as good as projected, he should be confident he can go anywhere and get playing time early.

maybe, maybe not but dont know if he would. Big risk with jackson getting lots of pt and green back and ross still back. What if he can't beat out jackson? Bet he don't come here.

Yeah but if his other leader is USC, which is stacked with players, I don't think the Huskers depth will scare him.

Student section chanted his name several times throughout the game. I know he heard at least once because he turned and smiled.

got to love that name. "Lucky" on the back or the jersey would be right up there with Hipp and Redwine
