Now if we can get a whole line of 'film evaluation' coaches that Alabama has so we can flood the recruiting trails wt film evaluators to recruit players. I was told by a friend who susposedly is in the know, that the way Alabama gets around the # of coaches that can recruit is that they have a group of people designated as film evaluators who review recruiting videos. These film evaluators aren't limited by the NCAA so they have a squad of these guys who can roam the country when the regular coaches cannot. I don't know if that is true or not, but Bama has been at the top of the recruiting #s for a number of years.
Even persuading a high # of players to take gray shirts just for the opportunity to play down the road.

Why would a "film evaluator" need to roam around the country? Can't they do that from an office somewhere?

Not necessarily that they "need to" but that they "can". More guys wearing N being seen by recruits.

As an employee of the athletic dept they are under the same regulations regarding visiting high schools etc.
