I realize this is ESPN but I thought it was interesting to see how a class is ranked compared to how they turned out. Not sure if Rivals or anyone else does that.
ESPN looked back at their class rankings from 2009 and re-rated them based on results. Here's their original Top 10 and how they re-rated them:
1 - LSU - now #2
2 - Alabama - now #1
3 - Texas - now outside top 10
4 - USC - now outside top 10
5 - Florida - now
6 - Georgia - now #5
7 - Miami - now outside top 10
8 - Florida St. - now #8
9 - Ohio St. - now #9
10 - Michigan - now #10
Re-ranked teams not originally in Top 10:
Notre Dame - was #14, now #3
Stanford - was not in Top 25 (Rivals had them #20), now #4
South Carolina - was #12, now #6
Not a lot of huge changes but as you can see from Stanford, a class that wasn't highly thought of ended up being pretty good. And Texas, USC, and Miami haven't done much with their talent.
