No, no no. You forgot. You always have to credit the players for things that go well and blame the coaches for when thing go poorly. You can't ever have it the other way around. You should know better by now.If we turned out 9 wins when Bo didn't have his greatest class, and arguably his worst class, what does that say about his coaching ability? Or does it point to some other factor? But you got to think that with better talent we'll be way more competitive and have better and better seasons.
Youre wrong too. It's if we win, it's because the other team sucked and did nothing right. When we lose, it's because we sucked and did nothing right, while the other team still sucks. Get it?No, no no. You forgot. You always have to credit the players for things that go well and blame the coaches for when thing go poorly. You can't ever have it the other way around. The Longhorns roped in the No. 5 class in 2009, then marched to the BCS title game in the ensuing season. Mack Brown followed that up with three straight classes ranked in SN’s top five—but the Longhorns collapsed on the field, going 5-7 in 2010, finishing outside the AP top 25 in 2011 and ending last season at 19th in the AP poll.
Nice article. The list mostly includes the outliers. Teams like the Whorns who enjoy the best recruiting in the nation, but then suck on the field. And teams like Wisconsin--went to Pasadena three years in a row, but have never had a top 25 recruiting class.Even if last season's Rose Bowl appearance was half-baked at best, the Badgers have gone to Pasadena three years in a row. For a program that has never had a recruiting class ranked in SN's top 25, that's pretty awesome.
But what does that say about Wisconsin or even the B1G? The fact that Wisconsin had 6 loses last year shouldn't be celebrated. The same goes for losing 3 Rose Bowls in a row.The Longhorns roped in the No. 5 class in 2009, then marched to the BCS title game in the ensuing season.
