I thought the "give UM a touchdown" was quite amusing. um, on what grounds? they never got into the endzone!

I assume maybe he meant if the Huskers that made the tackle had come off the sideline...? that's the only thing i could think of where that option would even be in there. of course, those guys weren't from the NU sideline anyway... unless you ask a whiney fantisizing UM fan.

According the ESPN, the "officials" they asked said offsetting penalties would have meant Game Over. but a replay of down on the 36 sounds plausable too.

anyone happen to have a rule book?

You can't end a game/half on a penalty right? but does that apply to offsetting penalties?

You can't end a game/half on a penalty right? but does that apply to offsetting penalties?

You can't end a game or a half on a defensive penalty. You can end it on an offsetting penalty.
