Relationship/Friend Dynamic (My thoughts)

Do you ever root for your friends not to be in a relationship because you are selfish and won't let go? This has happened to me and I'm sure it has happened to a lot of you posters here. One day you are with your buddies doing whatever and before you know it (crickets . . ). All because that person met their girlfriend, wife, life partner, whatever.

I root for people that I care about to be happy. It is tough when you get bumped on the pecking order though. Never been through the relationship ordeal so I cannot see their side of the story. Of course their side of story will have some valid arguments that I have not yet found.

 
Yeah, I've lost buddies to marriage and/or girlfriends. It happens. But a couple of times I've gained a buddy when a female friend got a significant other.
