An ESPN report alleges that Friday's announcement of the possible reinstatement of running back LeGarrette Blount may have had more to do with Blount's legal representation than with coach Chip Kelly's "human being decision.'' According to the report by Mark Fainaru-Wada, Blount enlisted the help of the NCAA Alumni Association and an attorney, Rob Carey, who currently has a class action lawsuit against the NCAA. Blount's parents joined Carey and Chris Horn, president of the alumni association, on a phone call with Bellotti and UO legal counsel, according to the report.
