The other day I used the report button, to flag a new thread about CP. I thought the current one would be enough, and I guess mods/admin agreed. Just want to know if that is an OK use, or in the case of a couple of other ones, flag to move. One I can think of about Tebow as gone off the rails and should be put in the politics/religion section. Anyway the report notes, say only to use it to flag offensive material, is this correct, or is the reporting of threads that are off the rails, or redundant, OK?

 
Not just offensive. If you see a personal attack, or if you think a thread is derailed, or redundant, or if you see a spammer, etc.
