The 2010 Okie State game hurt our overall rating IMO

Those numbers don't take into account the opponents you play, which is why I prefer S&P+. If you play a bunch of top offenses, and have a top 20 defense, that's more impressive than playing crap offenses and being top 10.

I agree, but I remember the 2010 defense being frustrating because we couldn't stop the run. Obviously that defense was better than I remember, which is probably because that 2009 defense was so good.

Yeah, looking at the game by game, we essentially had a bad game vs Okie state (top offense), and Texas (no excuse for that) and then in the bowl game, we just pulled an SEC and weren't motivated.

At the same time I can't help but watch those Big XII highlights and not plead for Niles Paul to cut that punt return in the 4th quarter to the outside..
