I was looking through the LSU roster and noticed a center from Pius X. I looked up on the school website and seen he was all-state. I don't remember the situation, but I am rather curious as to why he went to LSU over NU??

Was he another in-stater that BC overlooked?? Anybody know the story?

 
ah yes i do!!! yes i played baseball with big rich.. cool kid..

thing is, he was going to LSU the whole way.. no doubt about it.. he knew that before his senior year of HS at pi hi.. he was the youngest one in his family.. his older brother rob went to Notre Dame.. idk where his sister Kristi went, but i'm pretty sure she is/was playing volleyball somewhere, then as soon as Richard graduated from Pius the family moved down to Louisiana (where they were from anyways, if i remember correctly). Not a kid that Cally looked over per se, just one that was gone without any hope of keeping.. he was a big part of Pius' state championship in 05 though..

Did he get a scholarship from LSU or did he walk on?

 
obviously i haven't paid enough attention here....

but as far as i know he just walked on... i don't know that for sure and haven't really talked to him since baseball was over and he left... his whole family moved back though, and they were just waiting for him to graduate from high school before they moved.
