Riley Post-Practice August 6th

Do we really need new threads for every single minute subcategory of fall camp that you can think of, Mav?

I may be alone, but I don't thonk Riley's interview after the first practice of the year is minute subcategory. That being said if everything was in one thread it would be easier to locate all of the fall camp information.

This needs a poll.
I am not a fan of the idea of another poll right now but I think a subset for him about possibly adding another poll might be a good idea? And then maybe we could also kind of started spot about how many wins the huskers my get

Why is there a 105 man rule for practice before school starts?

It's been said many times and I will say it again. It is refreshing to have a coach that actually acts like he wants to inform us on what is going on.

I like position specific subcategories, and it makes it easier to find stuff for the casual user.

I mean isn't the goal to get more people on the board. When the traffic gets heavier, it's harder to read thru 2 pages of everyone's BS posts just to find the next update.

Mav, I appreciate what you are doing.

What we didn't need was another separate topic for just Kevin Williams...

Or...that thread started by sleazy "Way back when"

I personally would rather have specific threads for various topics.

Now....what did you think about the interviews?

"Some of it looked like football, pretty much".

I like when Coach Riley says this, and he's said it a few times how important it is that it looks like football. It seems like a simple comment but I think there's a lot to it when he says that. For me personally, I hope it means we get away from this basketball on grass mentality. Riley doesn't probably directly mean it that way but I think he means that he's looking for crispness in execution, a flow with everyone moving with a purpose and intention, and a level of aggression and physicality.

All things we've been lacking offensively IMO. Hopefully the increased focus on technique will be a big help toward making this offense look a lot less sloppy like it has been.

I think that's Riley's nice-guy way of saying that there is a lot of room for improvement.
