Rivals JUCO Rankings

Wonder how much that will bring us up in the recruit rankings. I checked eventhough they have them listed as commits the overall team rankings aren't updated.

I hope they are going to keep up with the Juco rankings a lot better than last year. It was awful last year.

Andre Jones gets his 5 stars and is ranked 4th overally, right behind former Tennessee QB, Brent Schaeffer.

Rulon Davis comes in at #19 with 4 stars.

Steve Allen gets 3 stars and comes in at #41 on the list.
No real suprises there except 1. I mentioned a while back that Andre would get 5 stars, Steve Allen would get 4 and Brandon Johnson would get 3. The only one i am suprised about is Steve Allen. He got robbed in my opinion. If anyone has seen him play or seen even photoage of on him, you would understand why i say he got robbed.

Other Big12 team rankkings

1-Texas

9-Oklahoma

13-Nebraska

14-Texas A&M

27-Texas Tech

31-Oklahoma St

41-Kansas

44-Missouri

50-Kansas St

51-Iowa St

64-Baylor

66-Colorado

Ironic that Colorado is doing worse in recruiting at this point then Baylor or Iowa St are. Even Rutgers, Northern Illinois, Vandy, and Buffalo have better recruiting class. Vandy, Rutgers, and Northern Illinois has the same amount of commits that Colorado does, and Buffalo only has 3.

Concerned that NU is focusing on bringing in too many JUCOs. While it may work for a while (see KSt) or it would be good to bolster one or two positions with JUCOs, the amount of JUCOs offered and brought in by this staff is disturbing. National powers are not built out of the JUCO ranks. I thought that last year was an exception :WTH ??

while true, you can't pass those three guys up if given the opportunity to have them on your team. I mean anyone who would pass up a five star recruit, be it a JUCO or high school recruit, is just plain insane.

Maybe Cally's trying to get some age/maturity/experience on this very young Husker team. I believe that our most experienced part of the team is the D Line. Just by adding a few JUCOs can help those younger guys that we're getting develop faster, IMO.

We have four seniors starting this year. We need guys who are more immediately ready to contribute, especially in the secondary and at wide out.

I agree. If they can play plug em in! Besides Husker fans were ready to burn down Lincoln if BC and Co couldn't produce INSTANT results. Do you really blame the guy for doing this? I mean think about it. Take a kid that has played in a college atmosphere or recruit one and give him time to adjust?

i agree, he is doing what needs to be done, getting the players he needs.......this practice will be greatly reduced in the next few years.....give it some time boyz...i think everyone is glad we got Taylor on the field, right?

While this may be true, it seems like JUCOs have a tougher time adjusting to Div I football than HS kids. I could be off base, but that is how I see it.

Look at Bowman, 5* recruit who many thought would be a "one-and-gone" player, yet he hasnt started and is not quite the lockdown corner many thought he would be. Is a a bust, I would say no. He's played decent, but he's not gonna garner even All Big 12 consideration this year.

Very few JUCOs come in and make a impact like T Farley, heck even D Williams was just average his first year.
