Ron Prince...

GSG

Assistant Coach
Umm... I'm confused... someone please explain this quote:

New kid on the block

First-year Kansas State coach Ron Prince said to forget about calling him Bill Snyder’s “replacement.”

“I think that’s absurd when you have someone who did arguably perform the greatest coaching job of this last century,” Prince said.

Lincoln Journal Star

Snyder turned around a horrible program but he never won anything of any great signaficance. Being consistantly good does not make someone great in my mind.

Snyder took them from dust to mud thats all! They are still at ground level I think Princey has been drinking too much grape-aid out of the pu&&y saucer.

Princess is a "replacement"....1) Bill Snyder vacates the head coaching position at KSU; 2) thereby, leaving a void in that position 3) so, in comes Princess to fill that void and 4) in essence "replacing" Bill Snyder as head coach at KSU.

What I'm saying is .... What a stupid quote!

First, I have a lot of respect for Snyder. He did get KSU to become a respectable program. (True, he never won the big games...but he still turned-around a sucky program Second, I don't have a lot of respect for Princess. I don't think that he ever will be a top tier coach. My prediction is that Princess will say that he is "rebuilding" the KSU program after leading the 'Cats to a dismal losing record this season. He will sing the same song each corresponding year until the K-State fans get sick of it. He will never lead the program past mediocrity and eventually get fired after four or five embarrassing seasons. If Princess's quote implies that he believes that Snyder was a decent coach and that he (Princess) is not and therefore not a SUITABLE replacement, then I would have to agree with him.

It's kind of like when the questions of how will you stop him come up, and coaches say we can't stop him, but hope to contain him. That's how I percieve what he said, but it was stupid.
