Root for Nebraska

Guy Chamberlin

Heisman Trophy Winner
It should go without saying.

But I'm not sure at the moment.

Cheer for the team. Even when it's not going well.

Especially when it's not going well.

That's what fans do.

This team is hurting. I've f'd up a few times in my life, and found a little support and forgiveness went a long way.

The torches and pitchforks, not so much.

Whatever you might say about this team, the games have been exciting.

Far too exciting.

But let's roll with that and have some fun.

It's still a game.

If we should win, let it be by the code,
Faith and Honor held high

If we should lose, we'll stand by the road,
And cheer as the winners go by
Seems like these lines got thrown in the ditch this week.

You can cheer for the team and also be critical of the coaching staff.
Absolutely. We've actually gotten pretty good at that in recent years.

But some of the discussion right now has gone off the rails. Worst I've ever seen.

I think the players need to know the fans are behind them.

And perhaps even.............patient.

some people are taking it to the extreme to be critical of the coaches, and are very frugal on cheering for the team right now.

I came up with a nice little rhyme

Root for Nebraska

Through thick and through thin.

Root for Nebraska

With your bottle of Gin.
I don't like gin.
What's your poison, then? I'm sure we can accommodate you with a rhyme....
I'm a beer man. Thanks for asking!!!
Here goes:

Root for Nebraska

Even in a down year.

Root for Nebraska

With a case of strong beer.
